Jathia’s Wager, An Open Source SciFi Movie, Everything Gets Decided By The Fans

scifimovie Jathia’s Wager is an open source sci fi movie, where the viewers get to decide everything about it. The trailer of the movie has just been released, and you can see it below.

It works like this: people get to comment, review and even rewrite the original script of the movie, suggest location and casting choices and after the movie is complete, they can use the footage to assemble the final form of the movie. The versions created by the fans get voted by other fans, and the most popular version will be launched in January next year.

 

Jathia’s Wager is a science fiction story about a young man living in an isolated community of humans, who must make a life changing decision about his future and his species.

The man behind Jathia’s Wager is Solomon Rothman, who is at his second movie of this type. His first open source movie was Boy Who Never Slept, which was created with a budget of just $200.
